Approximately 6 - 8 hours

This course if those people wishing to have the skills and knowledge to perform emergency first aid procedures in the first few minutes after a life-threatening incident This training is suitable for individuals, companies and organisations, and will provide participants with the basic knowledge and skills to make them confident and competent to perform basic life Support

Australia Wide

 A mixture of theoretical and practical elements, with at least 50% of time spent on practical skills.

Be at least 14 years of age

Provide basic emergency life support

· Conforms to the requirements of Victoria Occupational Heath & Safety Authority First Aid in the    Workplace Code of Practice, 1995
 · Approved under the South Australian Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations, 1995 -
    Department of Administration and Information Services – Workplace Services
 · The course is nationally recognised through inclusion on the ANTA National Training Register.

  · Respond to an emergency situation.
  · Apply identified first aid procedures
  · Communicate details of the incident.
  · Evaluate own performance

Authorised Accidents Happen! First Aid Services First Aid trainer

 · Attendance at all sections of the course is required.
 · Active participation in group activities and discussions involved in the training program .
 · Successfully complete progressive practical assessments.
    Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course.

. Successful completion of written assessment
 

 · Approval valid for two (2) years from the completion date.
 · It is recommended that cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills are refreshed annually.
